The Love Boat
A long long time ago, honestly not as long ago as it seems. Brent and Celaiah decided to go on a cruise. Shocking, I know! I mean separately without ever knowing the perfect person was often just the right decision away.
Our story
It all begins like the best love stories, on a boat (a ship…) in April of 2023 onboard Virgin Voyages’ first lady ship, The Scarlet Lady. It was Celaiah’s first cruise ever, and as a solo sailor with sheer excitement she decided to attend the solo sailor meet up right before the sail away party. Brent was attending as well, and afterwards he was voluntold by the Happenings Cast to stay behind a bit to help others with the messaging app on their phones.
Needing assistance herself, Celaiah waited patiently and asked for his help as well. During the process, the two struck up a conversation and ended up attending the sail away party together as well. After that, they were inseparable the rest of the voyage.
Both spending tons of time in Charlotte, yet having completely separate lives. But sharing a love for travel and exploring the possibilities of finding someone with the same love was alluring.
Picked with care
To be clear, Celaiah needed no help with the app as she was completely capable and had the skills. The choice to start a conversation lead to champagne, and the champagne lead to dinner, and dinner lead to more dinners and events. They spent so much time together that Brent missed every event he planned to attend.
After a few days there was a chance to get off of the ship and go to Paradise Beach in Cozumel where things truly went from I met you on a ship to there might be something there that wasn’t there before.
After a barefoot Scarlet night and connection that couldn’t be denied. Sitting in Extra Virgin Brent and Celaiah decided that things should make the jump from sea to land and back in Port of Miami the plans for the relationship began to take shape
Both had planned to take Brightline back to Ft. Lauderdale to catch their flights and ended up having seats right next to each other.
